No. Everything runs in your browser — nothing is sent to any server. The shareable link encodes your inputs as URL parameters, so the data lives only in the link itself. No accounts, no storage, no tracking.
When you click "Copy shareable link," the tool encodes your bill total, headcount, tip, and tax into the URL. Paste it in your group chat and anyone who opens it sees the same calculation — no app required.
Add it separately if your receipt shows tax as a line item. If your total already includes tax, leave the tax field blank and just enter your final bill total.
It rounds each person's share up to the nearest dollar — useful when you want to collect a clean amount per person and use the overage to cover any rounding differences or leave a slightly larger tip.
