PDF Tool · Free · No Account Required

Split a PDF into
exactly what you need.

Upload a PDF, drag pages into document lanes, and download each lane as its own file. No account. No upload limits buried in fine print.

Used by paralegals, office managers, and anyone who's ever emailed "page 4 only" to someone. Always free.

Supported format: PDF  ·  Maximum size: 100MB

Because "just send me page 4" shouldn't require a subscription.

PDF readers let you view a document. Almost none let you cleanly break it apart without installing software, signing up, or uploading sensitive files to a cloud service you don't control. Split PDF exists because separating a filing, extracting an exhibit, or pulling out one section shouldn't require a tutorial. You upload once, drag pages into lanes, and download a zip. That's it.

Built for people who work with documents all day.

🗂️

Paralegals & Legal Assistants

Court filings, exhibits, and discovery packets often need to be split by section or exhibit number before submission. This replaces a manual copy-and-paste workflow.

🏢

Office Managers

Vendor contracts, employee onboarding packets, and policy documents arrive as one file and need to go to different people. Split them without Adobe Acrobat.

🏥

Medical Office Staff

Patient intake packets and insurance forms come bundled. Splitting them out by form type keeps records clean without printing and re-scanning.

📊

Finance & Accounting Teams

Bank statements, audit packets, and reporting bundles are often multi-entity PDFs. Split by account or period before filing or forwarding.

🎓

Educators & Trainers

Course materials, workbooks, and assessments get assembled as one file. Split into per-module handouts before distributing to students.

🖨️

Print & Production Shops

Jobs arrive as combined PDFs. Splitting by section, imposition group, or finishing requirement saves manual intervention at the press.

Good questions. Simple answers.

How many pages can I split at once?

The tool handles PDFs up to 100MB. There's no hard page cap — we've tested documents well into the hundreds of pages. Upload time scales with file size.

Can I split into more than two documents?

Yes. Click "Add document" to create as many lanes as you need, then drag pages into each one. Every non-empty lane becomes its own PDF in the downloaded zip.

Is my PDF uploaded to a server?

Yes — the file goes to our server to generate page thumbnails and to perform the split. Files are deleted immediately after your download completes. We don't store, log, or analyze the content of your documents.

What if I only need one page pulled out?

Create a second lane, drag that one page into it, and download. You'll get a zip with two files — the extracted page and the remainder. You can also put all pages in a single lane and download it as a trimmed PDF.

Can you build a version that splits automatically — by every N pages, by bookmark, or on a blank page?

Yes — that's exactly the kind of rule-based splitting we build as a custom integration. If you're processing high volumes or need this embedded in a workflow, get in touch →

Want split rules built into your workflow?

The free tool is built for one-at-a-time manual splits. If you need to process folders of PDFs, split on rules (every N pages, by bookmark, by blank page separator, or by filename convention), or trigger splits via API — we build that. White-label versions with your branding are available too.
